Thanksgiving Weekend at Manzanita

We had the awesome privelage of going to Manzanita Beach and staying in the beach house of the Liggett's. They are a family on our swim team and graciously extended the use of their house for the weekend!
Here is the house...

The kids and Mark playing playdough on Saturday...
Some pictures around the house...

The kids at the breakfast bar on Sunday morning.Lots of birds flying around at Cannon Beach.

We saw a horse! Turns out we get to meet him later in the day and his name is Sensational!

Eating breakfast at Pig n' Pancake in Cannon Beach...

Here he is! It's the horse we saw earlier in the day. The kids got to pet him!
Here are the kids on Cannon Beach.

Another photo of the birds. There realy were THOUSANDS and more kept coming!
We realized that since we had kids, we rarely take photos of ourselves, so here's to a new beginning in photo taking!
Daddy and Annie

Nathan met a giant great dane named India.
Annie dragging a stick making "tracks."

After breakfast and a walk on the beach, the kids were zapped, clearly! So we took a drive...

to the CHEESE FACTORY!

Anne had been asking to see cows all day after we saw the horse, she got them!
Workers packaging cheese.

After the cheese factory, we went back to the house and decided to take a walk on the beach barefoot this time. Nathan was so excited, he jumped almost the whole way there... take note, his feet are not touching the ground in this photo!Look Daddy, a shell!
Beach comber Nathan... I think he's going to be a surfer dude... aparently my native California genes have rubbed off on him.

Looking at "stuff" on the beach
Here we are! We couldn't get Nathan to look at the camera, silly kid!

The whole family!

A beachfront view of Manzanita.

Sunset at 3:45pm! Pizza to end the day!
We had a really nice Thanksgiving. I cooked a turkey breast, green bean casserole and mashed potatoes...then we had cranberry sauce from a can and gravy from a mix. We visited with some friends and their new baby then ate our lunch. Later in the day we went to see "Bolt" in the movie theater. The kids really enjoyed it!
Thanks for checking in on us!
Love,
Mark, Joy and the kidletts!
