Nathan's EEG was a week ago today. We won't get results for another two weeks or so. We will continue to play the waiting game until then. I am doubtful that we will get any answers but hopeful that we learn helpful information!!

| Super excited to have electrodes attached! |
| All marked up and ready to attach electrodes |
| A little uncomfortable with the scrubbing paste... like toothpaste used to clean the area where the electrode is attached |
| Still uncomfortable but didn't complain one bit! |
| Almost all ready |
| Like Iron Man! |
| Just a few more... |
| and more... |
| Finally all set up and ready to test! The head wrap is to keep the electrodes from falling off. 20 minutes of placing electrodes!!! He LOVED looking like a mummy! |
| Wild hair with paste still stuck in, but test all done! |
The test was interesting. The technician had him do a series of opening and closing his eyes, had a flashing light at increasingly rapid succession, opening and closing eyes again, then rest... going to sleep if possible... or not.
Thanks to Mark, we successfully kept Nathan up until 1:30am and then up at 6:30am to get ready for the hospital. I have to mention here that the rest of the day after the test was AMAZING! No sensory overloads for this kid at all, he handled situations that were challenging VERY well, cracked jokes and understood (and even laughed!!!) at other people's jokes. Maybe the key to this kid is 5 hours of sleep each night!? It was such a blessing to get a glimpse of what life might be like when figure it all out!!
I'll keep you updated on the progress here...
Love,
