Playing around home

Here are some of the things we have been playing around the house and things we've learned to do...

Anne learned how to pause & play her CD player,

and climb up on Nathan's bed...
oh so proud!
Nathan learned that the playground lives right outside his bedroom window, he also learned we can't play when it's covered ice...

He learned that his bed is an excellent trampoline!

Anne learned to work puzzles...

We both learned that dressing up in mommy's puffer vest made us look like Darth Vader...

(She looks quite pleased with herself, could she be the next princess of the dark side??? Let's pray not!)
Thanks for dropping in on us! Today Nathan and mommy made playdough! No Picasso creations just yet, but there's still hours and hours to go on this batch, so we'll see! We're hoping mommy gets a huge idea on how to decorate our room, it's really... well, white. Wish us luck!

Settling In...

Playing at Grammie's house on the way to our new home...

Playing together! WOOOHOOO!

Finally arrived in our new spot! On the train to the city...

Nathan was so excited he could hardly speak...

It's "SO FAST!!!"

We took a drive to the coast over this weekend... only an hour away!

Cannon Beach...

The kids are settling in and doing great! They are enjoying each other's company and adjusting to a smaller living enviroment very well. The last two nights Nathan has said to me, "Let's go home." Just about broke my heart! I am not sure if he is just now realizing that we're not on vacation or if he's just saying it because he heard it somewhere else and is repeating it??? Nonetheless it is very sweet and so seemingly sincere. I'll do my best to post pics around home soon!

Christmas!

Christmas morning!!!

So much for keeping it to a minimum this year... well, we tried! Nathan and Anne had such a ball with all their new things, mommy & daddy had a great time, hiding them away, slowly, one by one to the packing box marked "TOYS" for the move... when we arrive & unpack that box it will be like Christmas all over again!

...these are a few of my favorite things...

Anne's favorites were a stuffed Elmo and a stick to one of the percussion instruments from Grandma... funny how they have all these things to play with & choose a stick!

Nathan's favorites were the harmonica and T-ball set.

Nathan playing the blues!
Hope you all had a happy Christmas & safe New Year!
